New Kids on the Block!

We are so proud to welcome four new members to the KCSD pack. Nikki, Suzanne, Elisabeth and Liz (along with K9s Alta, Beylon and Lyla who have each begun training In trailing) have completed their candidacy training and are ready to deploy on King County Sheriff’s Office search missions. Want to be a Search Dog?

Come to one of the 2019 King County Search Dogs membership information sessions to learn more about the application process, training process and volunteer commitment. Each session will feature a presentation and a chance to talk with current members. Times and dates are: April 25th – 7:30PM, May 5th – 3:30PM, and May 14th – 7:30PM. All sessions are at the north Mercer Island Fire Station; 3030 78th Ave. SE 98040. It is helpful, though not required, if you let us know you are coming at membership@kcsearchdogs.org

Our team of K9 heroes includes many different colors of Labrador Retrievers. All of our current labs are members of the airscent team and some of them are certified in human remains detection as well. King County Search Dogs is holding information sessions for new applicants on Wednesday March 14th and Wednesday March 28th from 7-8PM at the Mercer island Fire Station; 3030 78th Ave SE, Mercer Island. Come meet some of the Members of KCSD and learn more about the application process and training to be a search dogs handler or support specialist.
