K9 Dave & Ian
Dave was an extra-large German Shepherd and in additional to being one of KCSD's favorite dogs was certified in airscent with specialization in avalanche work. Some of his favorite KCSD memories include hoisting into the helicopter, snow camping, and multi-day missions while looking for missing persons. His human counterpart, Ian, has been a member of King County Search Dogs for over a decade, is the current KCSD President. Never idle, Ian splits his time between KCSD and Snohomish County's water rescue team (SRT) and Everett Mountain Rescue Unit (EMRU).
