Mailbox Peak
2000 hrs callout for missing female hiker on Mailbox Peak. We deployed two personnel into the field, with 5 personnel responding. The subject was heading up to Mailbox Peak and she missed the turn off the first road. She continued around to the south side of the mountain, eventually ending up just east of the Fire Training Center entrance, about 200 yards up the hill from the road. Chris Varney was with an SMR team that got to her first using voice checks. The subject was fine, just needed water and help getting out of the field. Her cell phone GPS coordinates were quite accurate. (8.5 hrs)

Tiger Mtn
2100 hrs callout for paraglider who went into the trees off Poo-Poo point. We deployed four airscent teams, with 10 personnel total. The subject had crashed into the trees north of the takeoff area. The teams searched from the take-off downhill. The subject walked out to the landing area around midnight, dazed but mobile. (60.5 hrs)

Mt. Tenerife
0845 hrs callout for overdue hiker on Mt. Tenerife. We deployed one airscent team, with 5 personnel responding. The subject was reported overdue from a hike the day before. Samantha Dillhoff and Odin located the subject just below the summit on the east side of the mountain. The subject had gotten confused descending from the summit the day before and had chosen to spend the night on the mountain. (21.5 hrs)

Tukwila
0800 start for planned cadaver search in Tukwila. We deployed five cadaver teams, with 12 personnel total responding. This search was for a missing Pierce County man who was last seen at a party on July 4th. He was despondent and had a weapon. His motorcycle was found in a parking lot near the search area. The teams did not locate anything significant. (72 hrs)

Gem Lake
0300 callout for missing 27 yo male at Gem Lake. We deployed two trailing and three airscent teams, with 11 personnel responding. The subject was hiking the day before and left during the afternoon. After friends search for 5+ hrs, they finally contacted KCSO for search. Teams were flown into Gem lake to search the area. Subject walked away and ended up in Rock Creek drainage. 45+ hours after going missing, the subject was located on the Snow Lake trail by a Sno Cty team. (169.5 hrs)

Snow Lake
1930 hrs callout for 3 missing hikers near Snow Lake. We responded with 8 personnel, but nobody deployed into the field. The subject's plans were to do a day hike up Denny Creek, across Melakwa Pass, past Gem and Snow Lakes and to Alpental. The guide, whom they met on the internet, got them to Gem lake and returned to his car at Denny Creek. The subjects walked down the Rock Creek trail and were given a ride by a passing driver to North Bend. (17.5 hrs)

Lake Armstrong, Snohomish Cty
1300 hrs callout for water search at Lake Armstrong, near Arlington, Snohomish County. We responded with three personnel. The subject was putting his boat into the water at 0830 hrs and when his boat got away he went into the water after it. The 40-degree water. The subject didn't surface. The subject was located by divers while teams were enroute so they were turned around. (4 hrs)

Mt. Si
2145 hrs callout for two lost hikers on Mt. Si. We deployed two airscent teams and responded with 4 personnel total. The subjects, man and woman, took a wrong trail while descending Mt. Si and called for help. Their cell phone provided GPS coordinates. An SMR team raced up the trail and located the subjects via voice checks. (7 hrs)
