Maple Valley
0430 callout for missing 86 yo male walkway in urban area. We responded with one trailing and one airscent team. The subject walked away from residence at 1330 hrs the previous day after argument with wife. Subject was said to not be able to walk great distances; had credit card, checkbook and cash. After running a trail and searching a 2-3 block radius, the search was suspended due to the possibility that the subject got a ride and was travelling. The subject was later located in the Mid-West at another residence he owned. (19 hrs)

1500 callout for a missing 2 yo female in rural area. We responded with one trailing team. The subject walked away from her front yard and was located by a neighbor 2+ miles down the road from her residence approximately 2 hours after being reported missing, in fine condition. Teams were turned around enroute. (3.5 hrs)

1200 callout for a continuation of the evidence search along Hwy 18 at Peasley Canyon.We responded with three cadaver teams. Additional human remains were located upstream of January 23, 24 search area. Teams searched the area with no additional finds (51.5 hrs)

0900 start for continuation of evidence search along Peasely Canyon. We responded with two personnel. Nothing significant was located during this additional effort. (10 hrs)

North Bend
0800 start for evidence search along I-90 at MP 28 on speculative search. We responded with 6 cadaver teams. A witness reported seeing a person carry a package into the woods at 0600 hrs on previous Monday and return from the woods without carrying an object. The search area was about 1 mile long and 75 yards wide. The area was sectored into 200-yard lengths and teams searched the areas. Nothing significant was located. (92.5 hrs)

0800 start for cadaver search in a rural area near Paradise Lake. We responded with five cadaver teams. The subject had been reported missing for over a week in a different county lived in King County so the search area was expanded and involved KCSARA. The subject said to have gone to a "friend's" house several days previous but not returned. The search area was along the anticipated route of travel. Some possible clues, interest in a lake near a dock, but no subject located. (105.5 hrs)

1100 start for continuation of 3/23/02 cadaver search. We responded with two cadaver teams. Searched similar areas as previous time to satisfy detectives. Nothing located. (10 hrs)
