Lake Malachite
1600 callout for missing/dehydrated 27 yo male climber in Malachite Peak. We responded with 9 personnel. Dog 2 traveled with the advanced team in KCSO's Guardian 2 helicopter to Lake Malachite. The advanced team was to locate the subject while the helo could fly and bring him out if possible. The subject was at the lake when the team arrived. The landing was on a flat area on the shoreline that required the aircraft to nose in on landing and back out on take-off. The subject was quickly evaluated, loaded into the aircraft and taken to the Skykomish airstrip. He had not taken enough water on his climb and experienced nausea, sweats and dizziness. His climbing partners had brought him back to the lake and gave him water and some food. The subject was taken via ambulance to the hospital for evaluation. (53 hrs)

Flaming Geyser St. Park
01320 callout for missing 39 yo female rafter on Green River, upriver of Flaming Geyser. We responded with 12 personnel. The subject was last seen at 1830 hours the previous day by her boyfriend as they capsized the raft they were in. They both reached the "river right" shore but were unable to get to each other due to a rock slide. The male left the subject at the river and walked out to get help (carrying the oar and cooler). We deployed four airscent teams from slightly upriver to the point downriver near the PLS. These teams were to search the roads in the event the subject was moving on the roads and head towards the river. Stacie and Sage, with Samantha in support, located the subject at 0530 hours not too far away from where she went in. With the help of a SPART team, they got the subject out and back to base. (72.5 hrs)
