1800 callout for missing female hiker at Dirty Harry's Peak. We had 6 personnel responding. The subject walked out prior to teams being deployed into field. (7 hrs)

Snoqualmie Pass
2200 callout for 3 missing hikers @ Snoqualmie Pass. We responded with one trailing and two airscent teams, 8 personnel total. Initial callout was for a single subject who contacted KCSO via cellphone. Due to language difficulties and incomplete information, a full callout was initiated. As KCSD teams were heading into the field, the phone conversations learned there were two missing males. When the hasty ESAR team located the subjects on the PCT trail towards Kendall Peak, there were three subjects with the third being a female with shoes that were falling apart. (26 hrs)

Melakwa Lake
1300 callout for missing hiker up Melakwa Lake Trail. We responded with 14 personnel over the three day mission, with many folks responding on two or more days.. The subject went for a day hike two days prior to our callout. Decribed as experienced in the woods, enjoyed hiking alone, sought high places and went cross country, the ex-marine subject was unexpectedly overdue. The first day saw trailing dogs work from the Denny Creek trailhead to Melakwa Lake. Airscent teams were deployed along the Denny Creek Trail and Ollalie Lake trail, while two other teams were flown into Tuscohatchie Lake and had to battle through brush for over 5 hours to reach the Pratt River trail. The second day had the airscent teams work areas around Melakwa Lake as well as other lakes in the area. The third day had a single team deploy into the field with other teams held in base for helo transport into search area. Subject reported to have arrived at North Bend Ranger station. The subject described going to Melakwa Lake, Kaleetan Peak, Kaleetan Lake, Pratt River and out the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River. The distance traveled varies from 18 miles to as much as 30 miles in his 4 day odessey. (274 hrs)

0730 start for planned cadaver search. We responded with three cadaver teams, 4 personnel total. Follow-up search for Benton Cty Sheriff for the missing girl we previously searched for in February '03. Several areas identified through the investigation. Negative results. (101 hrs)

0300 callout for missing male. We responded with one trailing and three airscent teams, 7 personnel total. Possible Alzheimer's subject walked away from residence. Subject had walked away in Nov 2003 and was located by SPD. Airscent teams were sent to possible areas and a trail was started from the residence. Subject was located by 4x4 around 0715 hrs. (31 hrs)
