1130 callout for a water search. We responded with two water dogs. The missing subject was last seen swimming to shore from +/- 150 yds on the previous day. The other people in the boat went to shore, got distracted, then finally went back for the subject. Being unable to locate him, they left the scene assuming the subject made it to shore and returned home. Our response was to support the KCSD Marine divers in locating the area. Andy Rebmann with Griz identified a certain area where the subject could be located; however, due to weather the search was suspended that day. The subject surfaced the next day in the general area identified by Rebmann. (11 hrs)

2200 callout for a missing 6 yo male in an urban area. We responded with two trailing and four airscent teams. The subject was last seen talking to stranger at his apartment complex prior to being reported missing. Trailing teams ran several options from apartments with one moving over a mile towards a shopping center. The airscent teams searched surrounding greenbelts and parks. The local residents and news media were involved in the effort to find the subject. A local resident came to search base and reported seeing a person matching the stranger's description. The police located our subject 24 hrs after the initial callout, bound and gagged in nearby apartment. The perpetrator was captured by Seattle PD, 12 hrs later. ( 107.5 hrs)
