2215 callout for missing 79 yo female hiker outside of Darrington. We responded with two trailing and two airscent teams, 4 personnel total. The subject did not meet up with hiking partners around noon. The teams were turned around enroute when the subject was located. (3.5 hrs)

Snow Lake
1630 hrs callout for missing pair of hikers along Snow Lake Trail. We deployed two airscent teams and responded with 11 personnel total. Subjects lost their way in heavy fog and called cell phone for help. Although they described their location as being between Snow and Gem lakes, they were located by SMR on the slope above Source lake. (50 hrs)

Kingsgate
0030 hrs callout for missing 13 yo male in Kingsgate area. We respnded with three trailing and six airscent teams, 15 personnel total. The subject was last seen on 9 June 2006 at 0800 at his school but was reported truant from class. A tip put him several blocks from school in late morning. The parents called for help around 0900 but a SAR response was not initiated until a second call at 2100 hrs. Trailing teams worked from LKP towards south and east. Airscent teams searched greenbelts and parks within 1.5 mi radius. During conversation with family while they were at SAR base, an older sister called friends and eventually learned that the subject had spent the night at a friend's house, who lived south and east of the school. There was a bit of confusion at this point as teams were recalled to base and then told to resume searching as the subject was not positively located with this friend for 30 minutes. Bastard search. (127 hrs)

Mailbox Peak
1730 hrs callout to assist with carryout of hiker who injured his ankle on the Mailbox Peak trail. We had six teams on the carryout, 7 personnel total. Our teams were part of the 2nd wave to supplement the teams who had been working from the upper part of the trail. (19.5 hrs)

0930 start for planned cadaver search in Whatcom County. We responded with four cadaver teams, 4 personnel total. This six year old case is a suspected homicide. The female victim had last been seen in a bar in the region. The results of the search are negative. (43 hrs)

Longmire, Mt. Rainier
0600 start for missing 22 yo female near Longmire, Mt. Rainier. We responded with two airscent and one trailing; 5 personnel total. The subject had last been seen around 1800 hrs two days prior. The trailing team worked a trail that was stopped on the west side of Rampart Ridge. The airscent teams worked the west flank of Eagle Mtn. The subject was not located by any teams this day. { The subject was located 19Jun06 at the base of Comet Falls, approx 5 miles north of Longmire }(81 hrs)

0900 start for planned cadaver search on Mt. Pilchuck, Snohomish County. We responded with three cadaver teams, 9 personnel total. This was a continuation of a previous search in this area for the remains of a homicide victim. Nothing was located during this search. (85.5 hrs)

2145 callout for missing girls, 7 & 13. We responded with 12 personnel. The girls walked away from their parents after an argument around 2000 hrs. We were turned around when the girls were picked up by another camper 5 miles away in Kittitas county. (20 hrs)
