0230 callout for missing boys, 7 & 12, near SeaTac. We responded with one trailing and one airscent team, 6 personnel total. The boys had not returned from playing basketball the night before. During the interview, Joanne V. identified a possible friend that the boys may be staying with. The IC followed up and the boys were located at the residence identified by Joanne! The subjects were supposed to be home by 1800 hrs but since they were late they were afraid to go home as they were in trouble. (18 hrs)

0800 start for planned cadaver search in Kittitas County. We responded with three cadaver teams. We were assisting with a search for a missing 11 yo male, who has been gone for 18 months. Nothing was located. (25.5 hrs)

0330 callout for missing 84 yo female near Northgate. We responded with one trailing and one airscent team, 5 personnel total. Subject last seen in bed at her group home at 2230 hrs by a staff member. The subject had a history of wandering to nearby shopping centers. The trailing team was unable to establish a direction of travel from the only un-alarmed door at the facility. Although the facility confirmed that they had searched the building, the SPD officers re-searched the building and located the subject in a locked room. (19 hrs)

0545 callout to assist with carryout of deceased hiker. We responded with 12 personnel. The subject had fallen during an evening ascent of Granite Mountain. We were called to assist with the carryout. (95.5 hrs)

Edmonds
1930 callout for missing 12 yo male in Edmonds. We responded with two trailing teams, two airscent teams; 8 personnel total. The subject did not return home after school. We worked trailing teams from the residence and airscent teams worked nearby parks. When he went missing before, he was located near Richmond Beach. The subject was located by Edmonds PD in downtown Edmonds. (32 hrs)

Tokul Creek
1615 callout for missing walkers, woman, 3 children and 2 dogs. We deployed two airscent teams, with 14 personnel total responding. The subjects had started a walk from the upper parking lot at Snoqualmie Falls and ended up on the RR trail heading west. They turned off at Tokul Creek and got stuck in a steep area along the creek, up from the RR grade. Dog team 2 located the subjects along the water after about 10 minutes of searching. The KCSD field personnel plus 4x4 members created a route away from the creek to the road. The subjects (ages 30, 14, 6, 4) were all fine. (38 hrs)

Sobieksi Mtn.
1830 callout for missing hiker & dog on Sobieski Mtn. We responded with four airscent, one trailing, 11 personnel total. The subject had driven up Sobieski until he hit snow and then hiked from there. His stated plans were to reach Trout Lake. He was able to describe what he had done and the search planners identified a high probability area to search. The ESAR field leader made assignments which resulted in a response to a voice check. Dog 22 was amongst the first to reach the subject and participated in walking him out. (96 hrs)
