Staircase Campground, Olympic National Park
0900 start for planned cadaver search. We responded with ten cadaver teams, 17 personnel total. The subject went missing in June '06, with no clues or other information found in a ten day search. We were requested by Thurston Cty SO to provide one last search before the area opened to the public. We searched a 3 mile stretch of the river, as well as three separate areas not covered in the original search. Nothing was located during this search. (249.5 hrs)

Bellevue
1730 callout for missing 17 yo male in Bellevue. We responded with four trailing and seven airscent teams, 16 personnel total. The subject was last seen at 1030 hrs, leaving his class at BCC in anger. Subject said to have Asperger's Syndrome. Teams focused on parks and greenbelts near BCC. The subject turned up the next morning at his residence in Renton, having walked home overnight. During a debrief, the subject described his route home in exacting detail as well as his mental state. He was fully aware of his actions, but had no desire to change his course of actions. (113 hrs)

1630 callout for carryout on Little Si. We responded with 4 personnel. Subject had fallen near top of Little Si and our teams provided assistance during carryout. (16 hrs)

1000 start for planned cadaver search in Seattle. We responded with five cadaver teams, 5 personnel total. The subject was last seen at a bar on Queen Anne four days prior. The search was to clear a park area. Nothing was located during the search. The subject was located on the west side of the Magnolia bridge (1/2 mile west of the search area) several days after this search. (26.5 hrs)

Cougar Mtn
0130 callout for missing male runner on Cougar Mountain. We responded with three trailing and eleven airscent teams, 15 personnel total. The subject went for a run at 0700 the previous day with his car located shortly after midnight at the Red Town Trailhead. The trailing teams localized an area near the trailhead and the airscent teams worked trails as well as areas on Cougar Mtn. The search was suspended at the end of day 2, pending further information. The subject showed up at his house 84 hours after having left, 24 hours after the search was suspended. (342 hrs)
