0415 callout for unknown missing child seat occupant at scene of fatal vehicle crash on Avondale Road in Redmond. We deployed three airscent teams, having responded with 5 personnel total. A vehicle crashed while traveling 100 mph, wrapping itself around a pole in the process. There was clothing and an empty baby seat in the vehicle. We searched the area around the crash scene to look for a potential 2nd victim. After double covering the immediate area as well as a hundred yards up the road from the vehicle, we concluded there was just the driver in the car. (12 hrs)

Woodinville
1615 callout for missing Alzheimer's subject in Woodinville. We deployed two airscent teams, having responded with 8 personnel total. The subject walked away from the senior day care owned by his daughter. Several sightings put him heading south towards the intersection of 156th Ave NE and NE 124th St., so we deployed airscent teams around this area while trailing was working on a clean scent article. Meanwhile, the subject had made it to a neighborhood north of Evergreen Hospital near Totem Lake, where he was picked up by a resident who saw him wandering down the middle of a residential street. This good samaritan got a name for the subject, found out he was from Ohio and called directory assistance to find a phone number in Ohio. This lead to the man's brother/son-in-law, who gave the the daughter;s (who lost him in the first place phone number) to this Good Samaritanten.
The local resident then called the daughter and kept our subject entertained until a patrol deputy picked up the subject and brought him back to base. The daughter enrolled the subject in the Project Lifesaver Program and put a bracelet on him before she left search base! (25.5 hrs)

0050 callout for missing 14 yo female in Bothell. We deployed two trailing and two airscent teams, having responded with 6 personnel total. The subject was dropped off at church for an evening class but didn't attend the class. The airscent teams worked the property and the trailing teams worked a trail from the church property to a nearby Park n Ride. The girl was located in Lynnwood by her family after they tracked a purchase from the Hollister store at Alderwood Mall. The girl confirmed that she had walked to the Park n Ride that the trailing dogs worked to. (23.5 hrs)

Shoreline
2045 callout for missing 85 yo female dementia subject in Shoreline. We deployed one trailing team, five airscent teams, having resonded with 10 personnel total. The subject was last seen late morning the previous day. She was reported missing by her son several hours before we were called out. We deployed teams to search all accessible areas in the immediate vicinity of her residence. Kevin London, in his role as a support person, located the subject in the side yard of a residence across the street from her house.
She needed medical transport, but was in surprisingly good condition after having been outside for neary 30 hours, including rain showers. ( 41.5 hrs)

Kanasket Palmer St Park
1430 callout for missing kayaker on Green River. We deployed six search teams to get eyes onto the river, having responded with 9 personnel total. A kayaker was last seen near boulders just down river of the chute, caught behind the boulders. Our teams were tasked with getting eyes on the river from the banks. 25/4 spotted a blue object in the river that will be followed up on by SMR the next day. (66 hrs)

1830 callout for missing inner-tuber in Green River near Flaming geyser. We deployed 8 searchers on this two day mission, having responded with 9 personnel total. Teams were tasked to search the river bank for a inner tuber who was last seen in the water. (58 hrs)

Tiger Mountain
1630 callout for injured hiker on Poo Poo Point trail from Issaquah HS. We responded with 6 personnel. The hiker was just over a mile from the HS trail trailhead in Issaquah. Our personnel assisted with the carryout. (21.5 hrs)

Rattlesnake Ridge
1830 callout for overdue hikers on Rattlesnake Ridge. We responded with 9 personnel. The hikers started at the Winery end, called one of their wives enroute, saying they were having troubles, and then lost cell phone contact. The teams were turned around enroute when ESAR (who had a 2 hour head start on the mission) located the subjects heading down the trail to Rattlesnake Ledge. (7 hrs)

Flaming Geyser St. Park
0800 start for continuation of 17 May 08 search for missing float tuber on the Green River at Flaming Geyser State Park. We deployed two water teams on boats and two cadaver teams along shore, having responded with 9 personnel total. The subject was located near beer bottle beach, river right about 2 feet under water by one of the oarsmen on a boat. (66.5 hrs)

1400 response to assist with carryout of kayaker of 17 May 08 mission after he was located, packaged and lifted to the side of the gorge by KCSO Marine unit and SMR. We responded with 4 personnel. (19 hrs)
