Mailbox Peak
2000 callout for two missing hikers on Mailbox Pk. We responded with two airscent teams, 11 pesonnel total. The subjects lost the trail during their descent from the summit, they stopped and called for assistance. A SMR team located the subjects via voice checks several hundred yards up the trail from Dog Team 15. The subjects had lost their route and ended up south of the trail, just above the clear cut. (36.5 hrs)

Whatcom County
0800 start for planned evidence search in Whatcom County. We responded with five cadaver teams, 5 personnel total. This mission had two searches, to assist with two separate cases. The first was a cadaver search on a 5 acre property for a woman missing since 1978. The second cadaver search was on a property where it was reported that a body had been seen there. The results of these searches were negative. An additional element was positive, but due to an on-going investigation, the results are not available. (63 hrs)

Melakwa Lake
0330 callout for missing female snowshoer near Melakwa Lake. We responded with eight airscent teams, 17 personnel total. The subject had been snowshoeing with friends the previous day and got separated when leaving Melakwa Lake. Instead of heading up towards Hemlock Pass, she headed down the Pratt. Teams headed up Denny Creek trail, Ollalie lake trail as well as Pratt River from Middle Fork side. Due to weather and deteriorating conditions later in the day, teams were not able to travel up Denny Creek trail. KCSD's efforts ended on this day with the subject not located. The subject was located by KCSO's helo along Pratt River, just downstream from Kaleetan River junction. She was hypothermic and was treated and released the next day from the hospital (261 hrs)

0530 callout for missing female alzheimer's subject in Burien. We responded with 6 personnel. The subject was located by a KCSO patrol officer while teams were enroute. (12.5 hrs)
