Sedro Woolley, Skagit County
1000 start for planned cadaver search in Skagit County: We responded with four cadaver teams, 11 personnel total. The perpatrator of a 20-year old homicide confessed and provided a location to the Sheriff's office. The dog teams were to assist in searching the area for human remains. The weather was in the 40's with a steady rain and light breeze. The search area was generally steep with a few level areas. Joanne Varney with Hylee and Jacquie Bushway-Speer with Granite identified an area of notable interest from their dogs. A subsequent search of this area by a KC ESAR team located bones and cloth beneath the accumulated leaves. At this time, we are unaware if these are human, or if they are the homicide victim.
