1130 callout for carryout of deceased avalanche victims on Snow Lake trail. We put five personnel into the field with 6 personnel total participating. The two victims were caught in an avalanche two days prior after heavy snow and rainstorm. A third person, injured in the avalanche, was airlifted by military helo. The carryout was uneventful as moving a sled on snow is very fast. The survivor described that they knew the conditions were bad but chose to descend from the saddle between Snow and Source lakes. They were caught near the top of the ridge, above the switchbacks, and ended up less then 200-ft off the bottom trail. They were only a foot beneath the snow when located by a Alpental dog team.
