1830 callout for Asian PLS client missing in downtown Seattle (International District). We had two PLS teams, having responded wiht 5 personnel total. The subject walked away and it took several hours before we were called out. The subject was located on a bus in downtown Seattle near 4th and Seneca. (16.5 hrs)

Renton
0230 hrs callout for missing 79 yo, female dementia subject in Renton. We deployed three airscent teams, having responded with 6 personnel. The subject had last been seen at 1800 hrs the previous day, with a sighting an hour later, just outside the apartment complex where she was staying. Due to the regular walks this subject took, teams were searching along her known travel routes. An ESAR team located the subject in a blackberry patch on the back side of the apartment complex, at the end of an access road. The subject was cold, but otherwise fine. (35.5 hrs)

1330 callout for missing male Dementia subject in Everett. We resonded with 6 personnel. The teams were turned around enroute when the subject was located by the Snohomish County SAR teams. (6 hrs)

Normandy Park
1130 callout for missing Normandy Park Police Dog. We deployed six personnel into the search (including Puppy-2), having responded with 7 personnel total. The dog had left its yard around 2000 hrs the previous night. After searching through the night, Normandy Park contacted KCSO for SAR assistance. An ESAR team located the dog being walked by a neighbor who located the dog in their backyard within the last hour. Although the dog was located within 1 mile of his residence, he was not talking so his activities were not known. (25.5 hrs)

Granite Mountain
1930 hrs callout to assist with the carryout of an injured hiker on Granite Mountain. We deployed two teams to assist with this carryout. The subject had contacted his family to alert them that he hurt his ankle near the summit of Granite Mountain. The family contacted KCSO for assistance. The first team up the trail spoke with an injured hiker but kept going up the trail since the person was walking, slowly, down the trail. The 2nd team spoke with the injured hiker, found out he had a sprained ankle and asked his name. Turns out the injured hiker was the person after whom we were sent. Loaded him on the litter and brought him out. (9 hrs)

Rattlesnake Ledge
1630 hrs callout to assist with carryout of female who injured her leg on the Rattlesnake Ledge trail. We provided three personnnel to assist, having responded with 4 personnel total. Our folks assisted with bringing the injured hiker back to the Lake. (7.5 hrs)

Mt Adams
0700 start for search for missing climber on Mt. Adams. We deployed a single airscent team. The climber was last seen on the 11th, heading up towards the summit in bad weather. Our assignment was to travel west on the Round the Mountain trail before exiting via a unsearched trail. While on this assignment, they noted some articles along the trail as well as unusual drag marks. After continuing to follow the drag marks for nearly a mile, Greg Varney did a voice check and got a response from the subject. The subject had dragged himself down from high on the mountain and started moving along the trail. The subject was hoisted by a NAVY SAR helicopter and is recovering from 5 nights on the mountain. (39 hrs)

2015 callout for missing 70 male dementia subject in Shoreline. We responded with 11 personnel total. The subject was at a new group home for six days and was not settling in. He was last seen at 1630 hrs, well before KCSARA was called out. He turned up at his former residence about 5 miles away before teams could be deployed. (16.5 hrs)

Port Townsend, Jefferson County
1000 hrs start for planned cadaver search in Port Townsend, Jefferson County. We deployed two cadaver dog teams, having responded with 2 personnel. Police had a report of a human body part in a bucket on a property. We were called in to search the property. The results of this on-going investigation are not available. (18.5 hrs)

Mt. Roosevelt
1430 hrs callout for carryout of injured hiker on Mt. Roosevelt. We sent 4 teams up the trail to assist. Our teams carried supplies into Gem Lake to assist with Mountain Rescue transporting the subject off the hill and back to Gem Lake. (66.5 Hrs)
