0830 start for planned evidence search along Hwy 516. We responded with 4 cadaver teams, 5 personnel total. This was a follow-up search in an area previously searched on June 28, 2003. This was a limited callout at KCSO request. The teams searched the areas cleared out by the ground teams. Although there were areas of interest, the dogs did not indicate the presence of human remains in the areas searched. (21 hrs)

Oak Harbor, Island Cty
0800 start for planned evidence search in Oak Harbor, as a follow-up to the 8/14/03 Raymond search. We responded with two cadaver teams, five personnel total. We were asked to search the trailer on site as well as a small wooded area near the trailer. Both teams reported no areas of interest. (37.5 hrs)

1230 callout for evidence search in Des Moines. We responded with 3 cadaver teams, five personnel total. DMPD had a reported homicide and a witness reported two males entering a wooded area with shovels and a bundle and returning only with shovels. We were to search areas under construction at Highline CC to verify a body had not been dumped on the construction site. The handlers reported no areas of interest. (20.5 hrs)

0730 start for planned evidence search along Hwy 410 for Green River TF. We responded with three cadaver teams, 6 personnel total. We searched an area near MP 39 and then searched an area near MP 27.5 that ground teams had been working on in the morning. Nothing of significance was located by our teams. (58 hrs)

0130 callout for missing 76 yo male in SeaTac. We responded with a trailing team and airscent team, 4 personnel total. The subject had last been seen at 1930 hrs the previous evening. He walked the neighborhood with his wife and they traveled to Seattle occasionally. We started a trailing team at the apartment complex and an airscent team worked towards the complex, searching adjacent complexes. The subject was located about 0400 hrs by Port of Seattle PD at SeaTac Airport. (16 hrs)

0430 callout to assist KCSO with a cadaver team while serving a search warrant. We responded with a single cadaver dog team at KCSO's request, 2 personnel total. After the conclusion of the previous search, we were requested to meet with the detectives and SWAT team serving a search warrant. Our search effort was postponed until the targets of the search and relatives were removed from the property. This speculative search was based on an informant's description of a car going to the back of the property, several men with shovels and the car leaving after a period of time. The search was negative. (10.5 hrs)
