Baring
2100 callout for two lost hikers along Index Creek, just south of Baring. We responded with (8) personnel. The subjects were unable/unwilling to continue traveling out. During the telephone interview, the SAR Deputy was able to get a good description of their car's location as well as a general description of where they had gone. An ESAR hasty team, following the lost hiker's flagging tape, were able to locate the subjects about 10 minutes from their car. We did not put any teams into the field. (31.5 hrs)

Tiger Mtn
1900 callout for missing female hiker on Tiger Mtn. We responded with 14 personnel. The subject had lost her way on Tiger Mtn. Teams were held in base while cell-phone contact and discussions with the subject were on-going. One team went up the Poo-Poo Point trail as that was where she was understood to be. 4x4 teams driving in from the summit located her at MP 6 along the West Side Road. She had started at High Point, hiked to the summit, realized that was where he car was not and started moving again. She eventually stopped where she was picked up. (41.5 hrs)

Seattle
1445 callout for missing 60 yo male in downtown Seattle. We responded with five Project Lifesaver operators, 13 personnel total. The subject was last seen around 1415 hrs by his caregiver at the corner of 8th & Cherry, near Harborview, heading west on Cherry. This was the first Project Lifesaver client search. The PLS teams worked on foot and in vehicles in downtown Seattle as well as driving along to a former residence in Richmond Beach. The PLS equipment reception was a challenge due to the heavy urban conditions. The subject eventually turned up at a friend's residence in Shoreline around 2130 hrs. (98 hrs)
