K9 Myka, K9 Dash & Courtney
Dash is a German Shepherd training in HRD known for being a true black beauty and having an insatiable need to play fetch. Myka is a lovely energetic German Shepherd Dog certified in human remains detection (HRD) and trailing that some say learned too much from her mentor K9 Jack. Jack (short for Jackson) was a KCSD legend who sadly died in 2023. Jack was bigger than life, in love with everyone and with an opinion on most everything. Courtney is President of KCSD, the chair of the KCSD Training Committee, an operations leader and was the 2014 recipient of the KCSD Ted Jamieson Award. She has also been recognized by the King County Council for exceptional search and rescue services.
