Emmett
K9 Emmett was a sweet Flat-Coated Retriever whose warm brown eyes greeted everyone he met as a trusted old friend. Emmett trained in wilderness airscent but found his niche raising awareness and money for KCSD. He did countless demonstrations for schools, summer camps and scout groups tolerating the adoration of mobs of children with noble serenity. Emmett was a gentleman who represented us proudly at corporate headquarters, car dealerships, police functions, cocktail receptions and even helped testify for search and rescue funding at the Statehouse in Olympia. We will miss Emmett’s smile and happy gait but know he is joyfully chasing tennis balls and rolling in mud puddles where ever he is.
