Benny
Benny (aka Bennoc vom Haus Johann Dale ) was a beautiful German shepherd dog who was certified in airscent and human remains detection as well as earning a host of agility titles in his spare time. Watching Benny and his handler Jonathan working smoothly, quietly and purposefully through the forest to find training subjects was an inspiration and a role model for a generation of KCSD handlers. Jonathan remembers Andy Rebman, one of our founders, saying, “You get the dog you deserve”, Jonathan never figured out what he did to deserve Benny but he always felt extremely fortunate to have had Benny as a partner. Benny was always a joy to work with, and he made Jonathan a better person as he strived to be a worthy handler for him. Benny kept watch over Jonathan and his family and never chewed on anything that was not given to him (including the cats). He is dearly missed.
